[edit] A Star
I OPENED wide the door of all the Night
And threw into the sky a pinch of light:
In dread I threw, as far as hope is far,
And steadfast in the sky it shone - a star!
I turned about: again they shut the door.
I crumbled, fell to pieces on the floor.
Still in my tomb, in darkness shut I lie;
But overhead my star shines in the sky.
