THOMAS COOMBER HAYNES was buried in Melbourne General Cemetary 27 May 1873. He arrived in Geelong, Australia with his wife and three daughters aboard the "British Empire" on 15 Januay 1855. The family lived at Geelong for a few years before moving to Richmond. He built a house for them at Simpsons Road, now Victoria Street, Richmond, Melbourne, Australia.
