Nestor William Agar HANSARD, b. 9 Mar 1829 in London, England; christened 16 Mar 1832 in St Paul's, Covent Garden, Westminster; occupation Painter, Glazier, Hotel owner. He married Lucy ABBEY, married 21 Mar 1854 in Bathurst CofE (110441B/1854); b. 1833 in Loughborough, Leicestershire (daughter of John ABBEY and Elizabeth WHEATLEY) occupation Miliner; d. 21 Mar 1874 in Bathurst (3693/1874); buried: 23 Mar 1874 in Bathurst CofE Cemetary. Nestor died 8 Nov 1874 in Bentwick St, Bathurst, Australia (3853/1874). Arrived Barque 'ANGLIA', leaving London via Plymouth Nov 16th 1850- arrived Port Adelaide. S/Aust 5th March 1851 - landed at Port Philip on 25 March 1851. He is listed in NSW Gazette as having bought land in feb 1852. 1886-7 listed as Russell St Bathurst. Also lived at Howick St. Declared insolvent in 1864. Of 13 children, only 4 survived infancy, unnamed born Bathurst, (6350/1866), Male and unnamed. Bathurst (6541/1871), Male. Family was split up on parent's death - youngest to relatives in NZ next (Clara) to Aunt Abbey (Amelia). Became a Publican in 1850( annual Publications list in Government Gazette). Lucy: Arrived in ship 'John Fielden' 11/6/1853. Cause of death - Cirrhosis of Liver. Already [?] a brother in Bathurst named Henry. Another brother William was a bootmaker, ownner of an exclusive shoe store at 350 George St Sydney. appeared in 1901 as bootmakers to Governor-General, Lord Hopeton. William was killed by a train in an accident at Summer Hill Station in 1891. Lucy with Anne & Emma & Amelia (Aunt Abbey). They were Miliners at Cleveland where Police Barracks now are - (the Abbey Mansion) Abbey Hansards were nobility says Aunt Abbey.
