The site is set up as a Wiki so that all interested persons can make their own contributions. The Middletons and the St Johns have a long literary history and the purpose of this site is twofold - to document their genealogy and to explore their literary tradition. To this end the main namespace consists entirely of formal pages linked hierarchically to form a tree, and the "Web namespace" is more free form
