Walter Bligh Westcott, born Dec Q. 1871, Newport, Isle of Wight, He is listed in 1901, aged 29, married, though his wife “Auntie Bee”, Beatrice Jane Annng, was not in the household at the time: she was in Liscard Cheshire, aged 33. born IOW, with her two eldest children, aged 3 and 4 months. Walter was a great cricketer, though his occupation is shown as Bank Cashier. They had five children, Kathleen, Alan, Margery, Kenneth, Norah.

Samuel Upton and his wife Edith Elizabeth went out to the Congo as missionaries. She and her infant died of blackwater fever. “Uncle Upton” became blind, and stayed with the St John family in Malvern. He appears as Samuel Ap. in 1881, and as L.Upton in 1891.Samuel.,his father, is shown as Lemuel, in 1901, misreading the script S as an L.
