Genealogy
SourceJoseph Walker Bourne, who is an important figure in the history. Although he did not found the Denby Potteries he had the choice from his father's and grandfather's wills and chose the smaller Church Gresley Potteries, just near his family home. Gresley Cottage. The Bournes, the Englands and the Stantons, intermarried. For much of the detail I am indebted to a living descendant of the Bourne family, with who I have been corresponding for some years. If possible I should like to acknowledge the help of Faith and Ian Bourne, when you put the source: I think we both contributed a lot, but it is right to name them.
