[edit] Adding images to the text area of a page

There are two steps. First, include the name of the image[1] where you'd like the image to go. Second, preview or save, and then click[2] on the resulting link. It'll prompt you to upload the image. Please see Wikipedia Image_markup for an overview of the image syntax, and Wikipedia Help:Images for more advanced options. Essentially, the additional markup is to tell the program where to put the text relative to the image.

[edit] Uploading images in the top part of a page

To upload an image (again, the name doesn't matter as long as the suffix is the same), simply click on the shadow image. You'll be prompted to upload it.
Thumbnails should be png files with height=135 width=90 pixel resolution. The main photo should preferably be a png file with a resolution no higher than height=540 width=360  (based on 72 pixels/inch or 2.8350 pixels/mm).
If you don't have tools to convert your photos to png files, email Frank and he'll convert them for you.
  1. Doesn't have to be the same name as the one on your computer, although the suffix (.png or .jpg, or whatever) must be the same
  2. On most platforms, if you right-click, you'll be able to open the upload dialog in a new tab which you can subsequently close and hence go back to the source page, where you can preview again to see the now-included picture

Here's a list of images that have been uploaded and are in use...

There are 277 images in use.
